Circulation Regulations on Non-Book Materials

I. Circulation Time for Non-Book Materials (time varies for VHS and electronic data)
Opening Hours:Monday-Friday 8:30-16:30。
Summer Vacation and Winter Break:Monday-Friday 8:30-16:00。
II. Non-book materials of the Library include VHS, electronic data, cassette tapes, transparencies, music, duplicate paintings and microforms.
III. The non-book materials of the Library are for instruction and research only. Please obey the Copyright Act.
IV. Non-Book Materials of the Library: Cassette tapes, transparencies, duplicate paintings and microforms are in Room 401, music are in Music Room on 7 half floor; VHS and electronic data are in Multi-Media Section on the fourth floor.
V. Please request service personnel at the counter on the fourth floor to open the door of Room 401 or Music Room on 7 half floor. After obtaining the materials you need, ask service personnel to lock the door, and then the circulation procedure will be processed with your library card at the counter (except VHS and electronic data).
VI. Circulation Procedure:
1. Items with barcodes such as VHS, electronic data, music, part of duplicate paintings can be read by a computer.
2. Items without a barcode such as transparencies, duplicate paintings and microforms: Please fill out a “circulation card for non-book materials” or “circulation card for transparencies.”
VII. Circulation regulations on various types of non-book materials may vary, so the illustrations are as follows. The Library Regulations also apply.
1. Videotape
(1) Subject: Users with IC cards of the school or library cards issued by the Library.
(2) Time for Circulation: Monday-Friday 8:30-21:00
Saturday 8:30-19:30
Sunday 13:30-16:30
Monday-Friday (for Summer Vacation and Winter Break only) 9:00-16:00
(3)Location:Multi-Media Section on the 4th Floor
(4)Restrictions on Circulation:
a. Teachers: 10 items at most for 3 weeks. Not renewable. After the 7-day grace period, a NTD5 fine will be charged for each item per day.
b. Students, staff (including teaching assistant and research staff), alumni, retired employees and temporary employees: Library use only. Anyone who fails to obey will be fined NTD500. Two items at most each time and must be returned before the Library closes for the day. Anyone who disobeys the rule for over three times (3 times included) will be suspended from borrowing books ad materials in the Library for one year.
2. Electronic Data (including CD, VCD, DVD, CD-ROM, disc and so on)  
(1) Subject:
a. Users with IC cards of the school or library cards issued by the Library.
b. Library use only for users without an IC card of the school or without a library card issued by the Library (including students of Center for Continuing Education of TNUA and non-TNUA users).
(2) Time for Circulation: Monday-Friday 8:30-21:00
Saturday 8:30-19:30
Sunday 13:30-16:30
Monday-Friday (for Summer Vacation and Winter Break only) 9:00-16:00
(3)Restrictions on Circulation:
a. Users with IC cards of the school or library cards issued by the Library: Register at the counter with the cards, and the circulation procedure will be processed.
b. Users without an IC card of the school or a library card issued by the Library: Register with your ID card, driver’s license or health insurance card. Library use only. Anyone who fails to obey will be fined NTD500. Two items at most each time and must be returned before the Library closes for the day. Anyone who disobeys for over three times (3 times included) will be suspended from borrowing books ad materials in the Library for one year.
3. Transparency
(1) Subject: Teachers with IC cards of the school or library cards issued by the Library.
(2) Location: Room 401
(3) Restrictions on Circulation: Unlimited items for 3 weeks. Not renewable. After the 7-day grace period, each item will be charged NTD5 per day.
(4) Circulation Procedure: Fill out a“Circulation Card for Transparencies.”
(5) Notes:
a. The transparency should be put face up in a plastic cover so that the index of each transparency will be clearly seen for verification when returned.
b. Please insert a blue paper slip in the place where the transparency should be put for a part-time employee to put it back on file.
c. Each teacher will be given photocopied contents of borrowed transparencies which mark circulation period, due date and quantity. Please return the transparencies in accordance with the order of the photocopied contents so that the task of putting back on file will be done more smoothly.
d. Should be returned as a whole.
4. Duplicate Painting
(1) Subject: Teachers with IC cards of the school or library cards issued by the Library.
(2) Location: Room 401
(3) Restrictions on Circulation: Unlimited items for 3 weeks. Not renewable. After the 7-day grace period, each item will be charged NTD5 per day.
(4) Circulation Procedure: Done by computers. When it can not be done by a computer, please fill out a yellow “circulation card for non-book materials.”
5. Cassette Tape
(1) Subject: Teachers with IC cards of the school or library cards issued by the Library.
(2) Location: Room 401
(3) Restrictions on Circulation: Unlimited items for 3 weeks. Not renewable. After the 7-day grace period, each item will be fined NTD5 per day.
(4) Circulation Procedure: Done by computers. When it can not be done by a computer, please fill out a yellow “circulation card for non-book materials.”
6. CD
(1) Subject: Teachers with IC cards of the school or library cards issued by the Library.
(2) Location: Room 312.
(3) Restrictions on Circulation: Must be returned by 16:30 of the day. Library use only. Each item will be charged NTD5 per day.
(4) Circulation Procedure: Done by computers. When it can not be done by a computer, please fill out a yellow “circulation card for non-book materials.”
7. Music
(1) Subject: Users with IC cards of the school or library cards issued by the Library.
(2) Location: Music Room on 7 half floor.
(3) Restrictions on Circulation: Must be returned by 16:30 of the day. Photocopy and use in Library only.. Each item will be charged NTD5 per day.
(4) Circulation Procedure: Done by computers. When it can not be done by a computer, please fill out a yellow “circulation card for non-book materials.”
8. Microform
(1) Subject: Users with IC cards of the school or library cards issued by the Library.
(2) Location: Room 401
(3) Restrictions on Circulation: Must be returned by 16:30 of the day. Library use only. Each item will be charged NTD5 per day.
(4) Circulation Procedure:
a. Search on-line for microforms you want to borrow.
b. Give your ID card as security to a librarian in Information Search Room (Room 403) and receive the microforms you borrow and lenses for the machine.
c. A NTD5 fee will be charged for the photocopy of each piece of A4 paper.
d. If you are unfamiliar with the operation of a microform reading machine, please consult a librarian. If there is any damage to the machine due to negligence, you have to take compensation responsibility.
