OCLC Netlibrary e-books have been adopted by near ten thousand libraries in the world. It has provided over 100,000 e-books for 450 publishers, and the number is rapidly increasing by 2000 e-books per month. Netlibrary mainly contains English books in various disciplines, such as arts, literature, education, business and economy, technology and engineering, medicine and healthcare, literature, sociology and so on. Up to December, 2005, TNUA has purchased 42,000 of them.

Encyclopedias, handbooks and manuals in various disciplines like arts, education, history, literature, religion and sociology published by Gale Publisher are on the website of TNUA. Up to January, 2006, TNUA has purchased 25 reference resources of them.

Important Information: Reader and register will be renewed on July 10, 2008. You may download the full text after the setup is completed.
Before the setup of a new version, please eliminate the old SuperStar Reader. Meanwhile, please delete the file of SSREADER in C:\Program Files.

Over 220,000 Chinese e-books, which were published in mainland China, can be read, downloaded and printed out by many people at the same time. The contents include economics, laws and sociology, literature and philosophy, history and geography, bio-medical technology/science, engineering and so on. Up to August, 2005, TNUA has purchased 11,200 of them, which are mainly in the fields of ethnology, philosophy, religion, arts, customs and archeology.

The works, including unpublished manuscripts, of over 160 sociologists from the 18th Century up to now are collected. The works, both the original versions and translated ones, can be searched in the database, and they are suitable for researchers in the departments of sociology, politics, economics, history, psychology, anthropology, religion, linguistics and literature. 223 titles of e-books on social theory and sociology are in the database, which are mainly in the fields of cultural studies, economics, education, government, history, linguistics, literature, natural science, philosophy, politics, psychology, religion, sociology and theology.

Multiple search functions, including the full text search by titles and illustrations, browsing with Chinese stroke, English alphabet and Chinese phonetic symbols, are provided for the convenience of patrons when they browse and search on-line.

MyiLibrary is a world-famous English database, which covers the fields of science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, literature, history and philosophy and contains over 170,000 e-book publications of over 400 publishers such as Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Taylor & Francis and McGraw-Hill. The Library has purchased some e-books in arts and humanities, which are designated by the teachers in Library Advisory Commission in TNUA. Up to April 2009, TNUA has purchased over 600 kinds of e-books with Tainan National University of the Arts and National Taiwan University of Art.
