Q: How to use those e-resources marked as personal-computer version? |
Database |
A:Some of the resources marked as “Personal-computer version” means they are only
installed in some personal computers in the library. You can only use them on some
designated computer. Currently the resources installed on the designated computers
include “Complete Library of the Four Treasuries,” “Taiwan Times 1898-1945,” “Taiwan
Diary,
” “Encyclopedia of Taiwan,” “Arts and Humanities Citation Index AHCI Database
1999-2005,” which are all installed in the computers with labels next to them at the Search

Q: Why can’t I read the full text for some of the e-resources? |
Database |
A: Not all the e-resources (database) contain full-text content. Some of the resources only
contain bibliography information, so you need to obtain the full-text content from the paper
resources (i.e. paper-version of periodicals), other e-resources with full-text content, or
other libraries by applying for document reprints (Please see “How to borrow/apply for
resources from other libraries” for further information) according to the bibliography
information you found. Therefore, please note the indication of “Full-text” is shown on
the right side under “Type of Resources” for each item information on the database webpage,
and also note the year of the library collected.
