1.How to borrow?
Full-time faculty can use IC card issued by TNUA to borrow library materials. As for part-time faculty, please bring the letter of employment, ID card and one photo, with $3000 NTD of security deposit to the library to apply for library card. The library card is validated during the period of employment only. Security deposit will be refunded after the library card is surrendered. Replacement fee will be NT$200 if the library card is lost.
2.How many books and how long can I borrow?
*Full-time faculty (Lecturer and above, including lecturer
1.Book: 80 items, Loan periods is 6 weeks
2.E-Resources (including CD, LD, VCD, DVD, CE-ROM, disc, etc)
3.35 items, Loan periods is 6 weeks
*Part-time faculty
1.Book: 40 items, Loan periods is 2 weeks
2.E-Resources (including CD, LD, VCD, DVD, CE-ROM, disc, etc)
3.15 items, Loan periods ?is 2 weeks
Note1. Materials need to be borrowed in person except for returning.
Note2.Periodicals, references, rare books and other materials that indicated as “for library use only” can’t be borrowed.
3.Can I renew or make reservations?
Faculty can renew two times if no one places a hold on the material, but e-resources can’t be renewed. If the material has been checked out, you can make a reservation online, and the library will hold the material for five days after it’s been returned.
4.What is the punishment for overdue materials?
The grace period for facultys is 7 days. Fines are $5 NTD for each item per day, until the maximum fine of $500 NTD per item is reached. More borrowing is not allowed before all fines are cleared.
5.I’m going to resign/retire, what should I do?
Faculty and staff need to return all materials they borrowed by the time of leaving TNUA, otherwise the resignation procedure will be put on hold.
