Group Education Course for Use of Library Materials |
The goal of the library use course is to help the library users become more familiar with collection resources and methods of material searching. Currently the library provides the following methods for instructions of library use. Users may also contact with reference librarians to assist individually to improve the ability of material collecting and using more efficiently.
■Library Use Course for Use of Library Materials
1. Campus tour: The course is organized by Student Affair Department and usually held on new student orientation day. Participants will be divided into small groups after 3-5 minutes brief introduction.
2. Library Tour: The course is established for new students in Fall semesters. Department head will receive the notice in the beginning of the semester. Teaching assistant or class representative will schedule date and time to introduce library’s services, facilities, floor configuration, library collection and e-resources searching and using.
3. Library Guide Tour: Any group from or outside TNUA can participate in this course. Participants need to make an appointment at least two weeks in advance.
4. Use of e-resources
(1)Regular: Course arrangement for library tour
(2)Flexible:
Database workshop arranged by the library
Provide discussion class in coordinating with instructor’s lectures (location can be in the library or classroom)
Provide consulting service and guidance through telephone, e-mail, or in person etc. |
